Our first on-line course is now available! For details, please see the page for the Web Course: Introduction to Seasonal Adjustment. To register for this course, send an email to our information desk at "info" at catherinechhood.net. Participants who register before December 1, 2010 get an early-bird discount. More courses will be available on the web site soon.

If you would like to see the format of the web courses, or if you would like to learn more about why we do seasonal adjustment, please look at our free sample course "Why Seasonal Adjustment?"

The third quarter web newsletter is posted!
Beta testing for the course is going well, and I'm very encouraged by the response to the course. In fact, there has also been some interest in an X-13-ARIMA-SEATS course in Nashville in 2011, so let me know if you are interested also.

Beta testing has begun on the first web course! Sign up now for an early-bird discount. There is more information on the course at the Web Course: Introduction to Seasonal Adjustment page.

9 June 2010:
I've added two new courses to the list of available courses:

Though the software hasn't been released yet, when X-13-ARIMA-SEATS is released in late 2010 or early 2011, Catherine Hood Consulting will be ready. These courses may eventually replace some of the other courses, but for now, we will wait until X-13-ARIMA-SEATS is released.

29 April 2010:
The first web newsletter from Catherine Hood Consulting is on-line! My goal is to post and send a newsletter in the first month of every quarter.

I've also posted updates to my Getting Started papers (in PDF):

As a bonus this month, I've also posted a paper (in PDF) titled, "Seasonal Adjustment for Short Time Series in Excel," an outline of the steps to compute a seasonal adjustment for short series, with examples.
